Summer Adult Tennis ProgramsAdult tennis summer classes run for six weeks and are held at the Grove Street Courts.  Section I classes will be taught by Stephen Baccari, certified USPTA and Great Base Initiative coach, in his fourth year with GCT.  Section II classes will be taught by Aadya Paudel, a Great Base Initiative-certified coach, in his fourth year teaching with GCT.                                                                       Summer Adult Intermediate ClassesSection I: Instructor is Aadya PaudelDates: Mondays, July 27 through Aug. 31.Section II: Instructor is Steve BaccariDates: Tuesdays, July 28 through Sept. 1.Time for both Sections I and II: 6:00-6:50pmCost per session: $99If you have played for a few years and you want to learn better strategy, tactics and technique…we will help you ramp up your game! Covid Safety Precautions Governing ALL GCT Tennis Activities, for Instructors AND Players: MASKS are to be worn to and from the courts and on the courts if you are within 6 feet of anyone. No socializing on courts. Please leave courts immediately after lesson is over. No shaking hands, high fives, or hugging, please. Everyone must self-screen, or have their parents screen them, prior to arriving. This includes checking body temperature (temperature of 100.0°F or above is considered a fever), and for symptoms including fever, cough, shortness of breath, gastrointestinal symptoms, abdominal pain, unexplained rash, new loss of taste/smell, muscle aches, or any other symptoms that feel like a cold. Anyone with a fever of 100.0°F or above, and/or any other signs of illness will NOT be permitted to enter the courts. No spitting, chewing gum, licking fingers, chewing sunflower seeds, etc. There is really no way to effectively play tennis without touching a tennis ball. No research has been done on whether the virus is transmitted by touching tennis balls. But United States Tennis Association experts with Covid-19 experience think the chances are very low.  Regardless, we will be encouraging regular use of hand sanitizer throughout the lessons and reminding participants to refrain from touching their faces after handling tennis balls.

No socializing on courts. Please leave courts immediately after lesson is over. No shaking hands, high fives, or hugging, please. Join former AHS and New England College Hockey standout Rachel White and other college and high school players/staff for a fun, recreational skill-based hockey and sport program.  Rachel played her college career at New England College in New Hampshire where she was named to the ECAC East All Conference Team. Are you looking to get your son or daughter on the ice for some pre-season stick practice but don't want to pay the high fees for an all day hockey camp?  Each day, this program will offer participants 2.5 hours of on ice instruction/games with the rest of the day playing other fun sports and activities at the Veteran's Memorial outdoor sports complex.  Participants must have full equipment including helmet with face mask and should have played at least one year of organized hockey and be able to skate appropriately.

PROGRAM INFORMATIONAt Viking’s Flag Football Clinics and Flag Football Camps, we teach children the skills that will be useful on both sides of the ball. Some of the skills we teach include the core components of passing, catching, and de-flagging or defensive position.Our flag football clinics are for students ages 7 -12. The first half of our of the clinic is dedicated to practice, drills, and skill development. The second half is used as a scrimmage. This an extremely fun program recommended for children of all athletic levels.Our flag football camps involve fun drills that will help your child become a more adept football player. Participants will learn plays, practice route running, and proper techniques and form for both offense and defense. Our camps include a combine, a Punt, Pass & Kick competition, and of course, concludes with the Viking Bowl!ADDITIONAL INFORMATIONThis program will follow all EEC and local Board of Health recommendations and policies. Our program policies have been reviewed and approved by the Arlington Board of Health. Participants will be divided into groups of no more than (10).There will be no intermingling between groups throughout the day. Each group will receive dedicated drop off and pick up times to ensure minimum large group exposure. Our program will only meet Monday through Thursday and will be OUTSIDE. If a day is cancelled due to inclement weather the program will take place on Friday. If there are multiple days cancelled in a week, prorated program credits will be given. Screening PolicyAll staff, parents, children, and any individuals seeking entry into the program space are required to and will be directed to self-screen at home, prior to coming to the program for the day. Self-screening shall include checking temperature (temperature of 100.0°F or above is considered a fever), and checking for symptoms included fever, cough, shortness of breath, gastrointestinal symptoms, abdominal pain, unexplained rash, new loss of 5 taste/smell, muscle aches, or any other symptoms that feel like a cold. Anyone with a fever of 100.0°F or above or any other signs of illness will NOT be permitted to enter the program. All parents and staff must sign written attestations DAILY regarding any household contacts with COVID-19, symptoms (e.g., fever, sore throat, cough, shortness of breath, loss of smell or taste, or diarrhea), or if they have given children medicine to lower a fever. Any and all individuals who decline to complete the screening questionnaire or have temperature checked will not be permitted to enter the program space or attend the program.

Summer Adult Tennis ProgramsAdult tennis summer classes run for six weeks and are held at the Grove Street Courts.  Section I classes will be taught by Stephen Baccari, certified USPTA and Great Base Initiative coach, in his fourth year with GCT.  Section II classes will be taught by Aadya Paudel, a Great Base Initiative-certified coach, in his fourth year teaching with GCT.                                                                  Summer Adult Advanced Beginner ClassesSection I: Instructor is Aadya PaudelDates: Mondays, July 27 through Aug. 31.Section II: Instructor Instructor is Steve BaccariDates: Tuesdays, July 28 through Sept. 1.Time for both Sections I and II: 7:00pm – 7:50pm.Cost per session: $99If you have played a bit and want to improve your technique and strategy, or if it has been a few years since you last played… give this a try!Covid Safety Precautions Governing ALL GCT Tennis Activities, for Instructors AND Players: MASKS are to be worn to and from the courts and on the courts if you are within 6 feet of anyone. No socializing on courts. Please leave courts immediately after lesson is over. No shaking hands, high fives, or hugging, please. Everyone must self-screen, or have their parents screen them, prior to arriving. This includes checking body temperature (temperature of 100.0°F or above is considered a fever), and for symptoms including fever, cough, shortness of breath, gastrointestinal symptoms, abdominal pain, unexplained rash, new loss of taste/smell, muscle aches, or any other symptoms that feel like a cold. Anyone with a fever of 100.0°F or above, and/or any other signs of illness will NOT be permitted to enter the courts. Players should bring their own hand sanitizer to lessons to use at any time. Instructors will also have hand sanitizer available and will encourage participants to use it throughout the lessons with regular sanitization and water breaks. Participants are expected and encouraged to maintain at least six feet of separation from others. Instructors will promote this social distancing through their assigning of court positions and their modeling of appropriate behavior. Participants should bring their own water bottles and rackets. No sharing of equipment. All bottles and other equipment need to be stored at least six feet from others’ when not in use. No spitting, chewing gum, licking fingers, chewing sunflower seeds, etc. There is really no way to effectively play tennis without touching a tennis ball. No research has been done on whether the virus is transmitted by touching tennis balls. But United States Tennis Association experts with Covid-19 experience think the chances are very low.  Regardless, we will be encouraging regular use of hand sanitizer throughout the lessons and reminding participants to refrain from touching their faces after handling tennis balls.

PROGRAM INFORMATIONViking’s youth soccer programs teach children basic soccer skills, while playing fun soccer related games and drills. Players should bring a soccer ball, shin guards and a water bottle. For all outdoor programs, soccer cleats are recommended but not required. This program is for students ages 7-12.All players receive a Viking Sports T-shirt.ADDITIONAL INFORMATIONThis program will follow all EEC and local Board of Health recommendations and policies. Our program policies have been reviewed and approved by the Arlington Board of Health. Participants will be divided into groups of no more than (10).There will be no intermingling between groups throughout the day. Each group will receive dedicated drop off and pick up times to ensure minimum large group exposure. Our program will only meet Monday through Thursday and will be OUTSIDE. If a day is cancelled due to inclement weather the program will take place on Friday. If there are multiple days cancelled in a week, prorated program credits will be given. Screening PolicyAll staff, parents, children, and any individuals seeking entry into the program space are required to and will be directed to self-screen at home, prior to coming to the program for the day. Self-screening shall include checking temperature (temperature of 100.0°F or above is considered a fever), and checking for symptoms included fever, cough, shortness of breath, gastrointestinal symptoms, abdominal pain, unexplained rash, new loss of 5 taste/smell, muscle aches, or any other symptoms that feel like a cold. Anyone with a fever of 100.0°F or above or any other signs of illness will NOT be permitted to enter the program. All parents and staff must sign written attestations DAILY regarding any household contacts with COVID-19, symptoms (e.g., fever, sore throat, cough, shortness of breath, loss of smell or taste, or diarrhea), or if they have given children medicine to lower a fever. Any and all individuals who decline to complete the screening questionnaire or have temperature checked will not be permitted to enter the program space or attend the program.
