iCan Shine (iCS) is coming to Arlington! iCS is a nonprofit organization that teaches individuals with disabilities to ride a conventional two-wheel bicycle through its iCan Bike program. To learn more about this unique organization visit www.icanshine.org.
Volunteer Opportunity: Be a "spotter" for the same rider for each of the 5 days and experience the thrill of helping someone's dreams come true! 75 invigorating minutes per day... it just may be the most rewarding and "moving" experience you've ever had!
Orientation/Training: Sunday afternoon, April 20: 4:00-6:00 pm
Riding Program: Monday - Friday, April 21-25. Five sessions available each day.
Location: Ottoson Middle School, 63 Acton Street, Arlington MA
Volunteer Requirements:
- Adults and teens 14 and older
- Able to attend one (or more if you like) 75-minute sessions for each of the 5 days of camp at the same time each day. Sessions are scheduled between 8:15-5:00 each day.
- Provide physical, emotional and motivational support to assigned rider.
- Able and willing to get some exercise (light jogging/running) for a great cause!
